“…sounds like a forgotten, American 60s classic with echoes of Dylan, Tom Paxton & Leonard Cohen” Robin Denselow, The Guardian
Reg Meuross was described by Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2’s Folk Show as a “brilliant singer songwriter with a social conscience”. He is currently touring with songs from his stunning new solo album ‘Faraway People’ as well as an award winning back catalogue of 9 highly acclaimed albums. Reg has that rare gift of being able to touch people through his songs and performance, on a really human level. His words and music paint pictures that remain with the listener long after the song has been sung.
Reg is a true modern troubadour, from gigging in village halls and folk clubs to playing the Royal Albert Hall and intimate as well as huge festival stages in the UK and abroad, he consistently entrances his audiences with songs of life, love and injustice, soulfully delivered with melodic tenor vocals and exemplary guitar playing. Reg’s latest album Faraway People is a fresh collection of songs which comment bravely on life as he sees it, bringing wide ranging stories, from the ravages of austerity and the injustice of the plight of refugees, to some of most beautifully disarming lyrics ever written.
